The Chamber is excited to announce the formation of a Business Owners Round Table.
We understand that being a business owner, CEO, CFO etc can be a somewhat lonely position with a shortage of peers to speak to about the trials and tribulations of running a business.
BIZ TALK will be held each Wednesday morning from 7.30 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. at the Rustic Café restaurant on Cave Creek Rd. (half a mile north of the 101.)
Each Wednesday there will be a facilitator knowledgeable in the subject for that particular morning. This will give business owners the opportunity to brain storm and discuss in an open forum of their peers, their thoughts, successes, frustrations and recommendations.
No idea will be considered a bad idea.
Some of the subject matter will include, but not limited to, marketing, customer service, vision strategy, sales, operations, H.R., organization growth, workplace legalities, systems and processes. Attendees that have been part of this type of brain storming, rave about how powerful and self gratifying these forums can be.

Industry Specific Referral Groups Grow
The North Phoenix Chamber’s referral groups are becoming very popular and well attended. By request, a third group has been started on Wednesdays. These groups are industry specific, only allowing one member (in good standing) to occupy a specific industry seat. The Monday group meets at Rock Bottom Brewery at 12.00 p.m.
The Wednesday Group meets at Catch 22 Restaurant at 12.00 p.m
The Friday group meets at Catch 22 Restaurant at 12.00 p.m.
Referral group members are asked to participate in the following:
• Form power partners.(Members/ companies that complement one another) to brain storm how to attract business.
• During the normal business week, be on the lookout for referrals that they can pass onto members of their group.
As attendance is critical to the success of these programs, to keep your seat you should make every effort to attend the weekly event or send an alternate.

Combined Mixer a WOW
Last Thursday the North Phoenix and the North Scottsdale Chambers of Commerce organized a combined mixer hosted by Fred Astaire Dance Studio, Cactus and Tatum Blvd. About 65 people were in attendance and treated to spectacular “finger food”, great atmosphere and some professional dancers displaying their talents.A Mixer is an excellent way to promote your business!
If a member company is looking for a great return on marketing investment dollars– host a mixer. Fred Astaire Studios proved that for a few extra dollars spent on good finger food and refreshments, one will attract a much larger numbers of attendees. The R.O.I. is the fact that the host will have a sizeable number of people onsite for a few hours. This gives you happy captive audience to appreciate your goods and services.
The North Phoenix Chamber Announces Learning Opportunities for Members
The North Phoenix Chamber is pleased to announce its partnership with member Management Training Systems, Inc. (MTS) to provide eLearning opportunities to our members. E-Learning has become the latest trend in meeting business owner and employee development needs and for good reason! In today's changing economic climate many organizations are looking for ways to deploy training with minimal cost. Having an instructor-led training can be expensive, with costs including instructor fees and travel related expenses. Additionally, instructor-led training isn't always as efficient as it needs to be, considering the logistics of planning and delivering on-site courses and the need for targeted participants to be away from their jobs at the same time. Organizations with satellite offices have the flexibility of providing training without the expense of bringing everyone to one location. The outcome is a cost-effective method of providing training to larger numbers of employees.
You may enroll in 1 course or enroll in an unlimited number of courses for only $129.95 per person for a year’s subscription. Check out the free course, Emotional Intelligence. This course will give you a great overview of how the online learning process works.
