by North Phoenix Chamber of Commerce After just four weeks of our Tuesday morning brainstorming group, we've covered some pretty amazing ground. We've talked about our sales presentations and ways to recognize buy signals, we've also covered how to ask the right questions to lead the prospect towards the closing.
We've been following the wisdom and teachings of Jeffrey Gitomer. In particular, we've been exploring the sales process and how to develop effective strategies. We start each meeting with a quick recap of what we covered last week and how well we each implemented the lessons learned. Ok, you really didn't think I'd give you all the checklists that we've covered, did you? You'll have to show up Tuesday morning to get in on the specific details. So, join us at the Chamber offices on Tuesday mornings, 7am-8am, and breathe life into your sales process.

by North Phoenix Chamber of Commerce Did you know that every member of the Chamber is invited to ribbon cuttings? Why bother to go?
It's a great way
If you are at the event, you can post, tweet, blog, and g+ hangout live from the event. Your followers see you as being active. More importantly, other business owners are also tweeting and posting from the event. If you're tagged in their posts, their followers learn about you, being attached to their trusted friend at a Chamber event. Awesome. So, if you are not showing up to events like ribbon cuttings, you're missing out on seeing and being seen. Besides all that online stuff, it's also a great ways to catch up with fellow business owners that you may not see on a regular basis, a way to maintenance the relationship. Since multiple Chamber members are gathered here at the same time, you don't have to schedule multiple coffee appointments to maintain multiple relationships. So it's efficient time management. So there you have it, at least 5 ways to get more out of our ribbon cuttings and other Chamber events. Did I miss something? Can you think of other reasons to attend Chamber events? MSC’s mission is to challenge and engage a person’s heart in the act of helping others MSC’s vision has been shaped by the lack of local economy growth in recent years. MSC wanted an ongoing project that would truly serve families each and every week, with immediate results as well as an emphasis on getting the local community involved. In 2011, the Harvest Compassion Center (HCC) was born; a local food and clothing bank located in North Phoenix. The HCC is unique from other ‘food banks’ because it allows complete choice and freedom when families enter the center. Families shop freely from the shelves for food, hygiene, clothing and baby items ensuring a very dignified shopping experience. Guests are also given referrals for other areas that they are seeking assistance with during their hardship, such as areas in housing, medical, and employment. The facts are real: 1 in 4 kids and 1 in 5 adults live with food insecurity in Arizona, and HCC sees this first hand three days a week when open.
